Wolverine and Deadpool: More X-Men Cameos, but Juggernaut Snubs Last Stand Return

Mar 07, 2024 12:49 PM

In an unexpected turn of events for fans eagerly anticipating crossover appearances in the upcoming "Deadpool & Wolverine" movie, Vinnie Jones has confirmed he will not be reprising his role as the Juggernaut. The actor expressed that both the mental and physical challenges of donning the character's suit from "X-Men: The Last Stand" deterred him from accepting a cameo. This does not, however, eliminate the possibility of the Juggernaut character returning, potentially in a different form, as seen with Ryan Reynolds voicing the character in "Deadpool 2". The film, set for release on July 26, 2024, is creating buzz with the inclusion of various cameos, as Marvel movies adapt to changing audience preferences hinted by recent box office trends.

Will we see Juggernaut in the new "Deadpool & Wolverine" movie and who will play the character?

While Vinnie Jones will not return as Juggernaut in "Deadpool & Wolverine," there is still a possibility the character could make an appearance, potentially with a new actor or as a CGI version similar to how Ryan Reynolds' voiced the character in "Deadpool 2".

Background Information: "Deadpool & Wolverine" follows in the footsteps of Marvel's "Deadpool" series known for its unconventional humor and breaking the fourth wall, as well as the gritty "X-Men" film, "Logan," which marked one of the final appearances of Hugh Jackman as Wolverine. The inclusion of cameos and the mixing of characters from different X-Men film timelines suggest a continuation of Marvel's trend to merge their cinematic universes, providing nods to long-time fans of the series, while reinvigorating characters with new interactions and potentially setting the stage for future Marvel story arcs.

Well, it's a shame Vinnie Jones won't be reprising his role as the Juggernaut, but I'm curious to see how they might reimagine the character for the new Deadpool & Wolverine movie. With the way Marvel's been mixing things up lately, I wouldn't be surprised if we see a fresh take on the Juggernaut that keeps the fans entertained.

Ah, that's a bummer about Vinnie Jones not reprising his role as the Juggernaut in the upcoming Deadpool & Wolverine movie. It'll be interesting to see how they handle the character's appearance, considering the potential for a new actor or CGI rendition, similar to what they did with Ryan Reynolds in Deadpool 2. Can't wait to see how this all plays out

Man, it's a bummer Vinnie Jones won't be back as Juggernaut, but it's cool to think about who might step into the role for the Deadpool & Wolverine movie. With all the creative possibilities and the blending of X-Men timelines, it's an exciting time for Marvel movie fans.
