CD Projekt has announced that The Witcher 4 will not be making an appearance at The Game Awards this year, despite its previous cinematic reveal trailer debuting at last year's event. He expressed gratitude for fan support and excitement for the show's festivities. The Witcher 4 is currently under development with a team of 447 people, and it is expected to be released no earlier than 2027. Meanwhile, a new sci-fi RPG titled Exodus is confirmed to be showcased at The Game Awards, developed by the former BioWare team.

When will The Witcher 4 be released?

The Witcher 4 is expected to release no earlier than 2027, as confirmed by CD Projekt.

The Witcher franchise has been a monumental success in both gaming and literature, originating from the stories of Polish writer Andrzej Sapkowski. Its previous installment, The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, garnered critical acclaim and numerous Game of the Year awards for its rich narrative and expansive open world. The anticipation surrounding The Witcher 4 builds off this legacy, while fans also remain eager for updates on the previously announced sequel to Cyberpunk 2077.
