WARCRAFT'S ARATHI HIGHLANDS: Plunderstorm Battle Royale Event Arrives

Mar 19, 2024 7:17 PM

World of Warcraft's exciting limited-time event Plunderstorm has set sail as part of the Dragonflight expansion, bringing a battle-royale twist to the Arathi Highlands. This pirate-themed spectacle allows players to engage in loot hunting, ability-gathering, and high-seas competition as they battle to be the last pirate standing. Available for several weeks, the event includes a new reward track featuring exclusive cosmetics, pets, titles, and mounts like the Plunderlord parrot mount and Bubbles the crab pet. The Plunderstorm mode is unique with its own UI and gameplay mechanics, and it's accessible to all WoW players, including those from WoW Classic, without needing to purchase the Dragonflight expansion.

Accompanying the release of content update 10.2.6, Blizzard has shifted gears from previous updates, indicating that the Season 4 updates are soon to hit the public test realm and launch shortly after. Players can enjoy both solo and duo modes and can look forward to account-wide progress through the Keg Leg Crew's event track up to level 40. While the PTR prepares for Season 4, players can dive into Plunderstorm and chase the treasure-packed rewards.

How can I participate in the World of Warcraft Plunderstorm event?

To join the Plunderstorm event in World of Warcraft, you simply need to have an active subscription or game time. Non-Dragonflight players will have to download the modern game client but won't need to buy the latest expansion since the event can be accessed from a toggle on the character select screen.
