Valve has announced an upgraded OLED version of the Steam Deck, featuring enhanced screen quality and increased battery life. The new OLED screen supports HDR and boasts a larger display while maintaining the same size as the original Steam Deck, though it's marginally lighter by about 50 grams. The device maintains the same graphical performance, ensuring compatibility with all existing Steam Deck games.
Accommodating the upgraded screen, the new Steam Deck includes a more powerful battery with a capacity of 50Whr compared to the former 40Whr. Additionally, the refresh rate has improved from 60Hz to 90Hz. The standard model without an OLED screen remains available for €419. The 512 GB and 1 TB models with OLED screens will be on sale starting from 16 November priced at €569 and €679, respectively.
