Valorant, Riot Games' popular hero shooter, is set to release on Xbox Series X|S and PS5 this summer, according to an announcement at the Summer Game Fest. The game will not support cross-play between PC and console, but it will feature shared inventory and cross-progression. A limited beta for the console version starts June 14 in select regions, including the U.S., Canada, and Japan. Riot Games ensures that the console version provides a competitive edge comparable to the PC experience, focusing on hip-fire as the primary shooting mode with a new "focus" mode for precision.
