Adult Swim has officially announced that the long-awaited anime adaptation of Junji Ito's manga "Uzumaki" will premiere on September 28, 2024. The announcement was made during the Rick and Morty: The Anime panel at San Diego Comic-Con 2024. A teaser trailer was also released, providing a glimpse of the eerie spirals and twisted creations fans can expect. The story follows high school girl Kirie Goshima and her classmate Shuichi Saito as they try to escape the spiral curse afflicting their town, Kurouzu-cho. The anime aims to stay true to Ito's original work and will also be available on Max the day after its Adult Swim premiere.
