The gaming community is abuzz with the latest update from Rockstar Games, as Grand Theft Auto Online is set to introduce animals into its gameplay for the first time. However, this feature will be exclusive to PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S console players, leaving PC gamers without the update. The addition of animals will see the Southern San Andreas landscape come alive with various creatures, taking full advantage of the advanced hardware capabilities of current-gen consoles.
Grand Theft Auto Online is not only adding animals but also expanding its criminal enterprise options. The upcoming December update promises new robberies guided by The Ballad of Gay Tony’s character Yusuf Amir. Players will engage in high-stakes heists, utilizing a new salvage yard as a front, with the freedom to either sell luxury stolen vehicles to Yusuf or dismantle them for parts.
The update also includes a new Drift Race series and vehicle customization options to enhance the gaming experience. Excitingly, PS5 and Xbox Series X/S players will also get a significant garage upgrade with GTA+ Membership, allowing them to manage a collection of up to 100 vehicles.
While the wildlife addition is console-specific, players across all platforms will benefit from experience improvements. These enhancements include an easier-to-navigate interaction menu, increased reputation points for car meet races, a new vehicle copying service at the LS Car Meet, and customized garage floor descriptions. Additionally, there will be festive surprises and a small birthday gift for all players on their character's birthday, as well as broader updates promising more music and holiday modes from Rockstar.
This update sets the stage for the highly anticipated future of the franchise with the looming reveal of Grand Theft Auto 6, as Rockstar continues to innovate and provide new content for players of GTA Online. Gaming fans can expect this extensive update to roll out in December, continuing the evolution of the beloved online world.
