Subnautica, the popular underwater survival game from Unknown Worlds, is set to launch on iOS and Android this July. Players will soon be able to explore the stunning depths of the oceanic planet 4546B on their mobile devices. The mobile version promises the full Subnautica experience with tailored features such as updated UI, touch controls, MFi controller support, and cloud save options for a seamless gaming experience across devices. Priced at $9.99, the game will be available at a discounted price of $8.99 during launch. Alongside this mobile release, a sequel, Subnautica 2, is also in the works, expected to enter early access later this year, featuring new environments, aquatic creatures, and cooperative gameplay for up to four players.

When will Subnautica be available on mobile devices?

Subnautica will be released on iOS and Android on July 8, 2025.

Subnautica first launched in 2018 after a successful early access period, combining exploration, crafting, and narrative elements in a vibrant, immersive underwater world. It received critical acclaim and commercial success, leading to a standalone expansion, Subnautica: Below Zero, and now a highly anticipated sequel set to enhance the original's gameplay with cooperative features.

Mobile Subnautica sounds awesome, but I hope those touch controls don’t make dodging leviathans more terrifying than it already is. Also, co-op in Subnautica 2 My friends and I are about to have some chaotic underwater shenanigans.
