Stuck in Silent Hill 2 Remake Why not play as a giant blob

Oct 22, 2024 2:51 PM

The Silent Hill 2 Remake has faced glitches following its first major patch, aimed at fixing issues with character James. Unfortunately, this update has led to new problems for players, particularly a progress-blocking bug in the Labyrinth section, where a crucial puzzle involving a cube is not functioning correctly. Players are taking to social media to express their frustrations, and while some have shared temporary workarounds, the developers at Bloober Team are currently working on a hotfix. This concern particularly affects save data loaded from before the patch. Meanwhile, a quirky mod allowing players to play as a "flesh blob" serves as a humorous distraction from the technical woes.

What should I do if I encounter a progress-blocking bug in the Silent Hill 2 Remake?

If you encounter a progress-blocking bug in the Silent Hill 2 Remake, it's recommended to load a save from before entering the Labyrinth level. If that’s not possible, try following any workarounds shared by the community while waiting for a hotfix from Bloober Team, which is working on addressing these issues.

Silent Hill 2 is a psychological horror video game that originally released in 2001, renowned for its complex story and unsettling atmosphere. The remake, developed by Bloober Team, promises to bring a modern experience to the classic game, preserving its core themes while enhancing visual and gameplay mechanics for both the PS5 and PC. The game's unique blend of horror and character depth has made it a beloved title among fans, leading to high expectations for this remake.

It’s a bummer to see that the Silent Hill 2 Remake is running into new issues just after a patch, especially with players' progress on the line. But hey, at least the flesh blob mod is giving us something to laugh about while we wait for Bloober Team to sort it all out

The Silent Hill 2 Remake definitely had high hopes riding on it, but it’s a bummer to see glitches trip up that nostalgic vibe. At least the flesh blob mod is a hilarious reminder that even horror can have its lighter moments

It's always a bummer when a patch intended to fix issues ends up creating new ones, especially in such a beloved remake like Silent Hill 2. Hopefully, Bloober Team rolls out that hotfix soon, but in the meantime, playing as a flesh blob might just be the stress relief we never knew we needed
