Apr 26, 2024 10:08 AM

The highly anticipated action-adventure game Stellar Blade has just been released, and developers have already confirmed that the New Game Plus mode will be available from launch. In a PlayStation Blog post, Director Kim Hyung Tae shared details about the update introducing the mode to Stellar Blade. Players will be able to begin a new playthrough carrying over their upgrades, and will have the chance to unlock 34 new outfits for protagonist Eve, along with new accessories for other characters and drones.

New abilities not available in the main game will feature in the New Game Plus, including four beta skills, eight enhancements for beta and burst abilities, and five drone skills. The game also increases the level cap for weapons from 15 to 40, and introduces additional upgrades for Eve's equipment. However, players should be ready for a greater challenge as enemy positions alter and the difficulty ramps up.

What is New Game Plus mode and why is it significant?

New Game Plus is a gameplay mode that typically allows players to restart a game after finishing it, retaining their character's skills and items from the previous playthrough. This mode is significant as it offers added replay value, letting players experience the game in a new way with different strategies. It usually increases the game's difficulty, presents new challenges, or unlocks content that wasn't available in the initial run, keeping the game fresh and engaging for those looking to delve deeper.

Background Information: Stellar Blade, formerly known as Project Eve, is an action RPG developed by SHIFT UP Corporation and published by Sony Interactive Entertainment. The game follows the journey of Eve, who must battle against powerful enemies in a post-apocalyptic world. The game is known for its emphasis on a high-quality combat system and cinematic storytelling. As it is developed by a South Korean studio, it contributes to the growing presence of Korean-made games in the global gaming market.
