Steam has introduced a new feature allowing players to filter games that support PlayStation controllers on its platform, including DualSense and DualShock. This convenience is now available alongside the existing Xbox controller support filtering. Valve has adjusted Steam to set a default filter based on the player's recently used controller, but it also gives the option to manually select from a list of commonly used controllers.

Each game's store page on Steam now provides details about controller compatibility with the three most popular models: Xbox, DualSense, and DualShock controllers. There's also a new category for games that, thanks to the Steam Input API, support over 200 different devices.

In an effort to enhance user experience, Valve has made library updates to provide clearer information on controller support. If a player has previously played with a specific controller, Steam will now indicate whether the game is compatible with that controller. Additionally, Steam will now alert users if a controller is required to play a particular game.

These updates are part of Steam's ongoing improvements to ensure a more user-friendly and inclusive gaming environment for players who prefer using console controllers on the PC platform.
