Nexus Mods, the largest modding site on the web, recently made a stand against a Starfield mod that aimed to remove pronoun choices from the game's character creator.

The site insisted that while it's not their job to police what a gamer can add or remove from their game, it won't encourage content that brings division. It believes in fostering diversity and inclusion within the modding community.

The controversial mod briefly appeared on Nexus Mods before it was taken down. A spokesperson for the site informed 404 Media (as reported by PC Gamer) that hosting the mod was not in line with their values and policies. This is not the first time the modding site has taken such a proactive stance. They previously removed another mod that eliminated the Pride flag from Spider-Man Remastered.

The discourse around this issue unfolded after a disgruntled gamer, upset about having the option to pick pronouns in Starfield's character creator, launched a highly publicized tirade. Despite such behavior, it's important to note that the majority of modders are talented creators who often use their skills to bring missing features to the game, solve existing issues, and revise outdated elements.
