STAR WARS Outlaws: Old Favorites and New Faces But One Beloved Character May Be Missing

Apr 17, 2024 2:42 PM

Exciting details about Ubisoft's upcoming game, Star Wars Outlaws, have surfaced, promising to engage fans across generations. The action-adventure title, developed by Massive Entertainment, will feature a range of cameos from the Star Wars film canon along with a fresh set of characters. Events in Star Wars Outlaws are set between The Empire Strikes Back and Return of the Jedi, and while it seems unlikely that Boba Fett, the beloved bounty hunter, will be part of the assassin lineup, the Creative Director Julian Gerighty teases there will be some familiar faces from the Star Wars universe. Notably, long-time fans can anticipate the appearance of Jabba the Hutt, while newer followers may look forward to Qi'ra from Solo: A Star Wars Story, although Emilia Clarke won't reprise her role. The game will also feature a reputation system based on interactions with various criminal syndicates, and these elements, among others, add to the anticipation leading up to its release in August 2024.

Will Boba Fett be making an appearance in Star Wars Outlaws?

Despite fan speculation, it seems unlikely that Boba Fett will feature as one of the game's assassins, as the game will introduce new characters specifically created for Star Wars Outlaws. However, there may be other canonical Star Wars characters appearing throughout the game.

Star Wars Outlaws is shaping up to be a thrilling addition to the Star Wars video game collection. The franchise, existing for over four decades, has produced numerous iconic games such as Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic, Star Wars Battlefront, and the more recent Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order. Games like these have explored different corners of the Star Wars universe and time periods, offering diverse gaming experiences from role-playing to action-packed combat. With the new game set in an era rich with lore, fans are eager to see how it will expand on the stories told within this beloved galaxy.
