Insomniac Games recently released a patch for Marvel's Spider-Man 2 to correct a flag in the home of Miles Morales character in the game. Initially, the game displayed the national flag of Cuba in Morales' household, even though the character and his family have Puerto Rican roots. Noting the crucial importance of accurate representation, Insomniac Games issued an apology on social media and assured fans of their commitment to prevent similar mistakes in the future. The patch also fixes several glitches such as incorrect loading of character models and an excessively bright logo on the Amazing 2 Suit.
Spider-Man 2 came out a week ago on PlayStation 5, featuring both Peter Parker and Miles Morales as key characters with the option for players to switch between the two superheroes each with new moves. The game's setting extends beyond Manhattan to include Queens and Brooklyn. The game received an 8/10 rating from Erik Nusselder for its excellent gameplay and high entertainment factor but was slightly criticized for the developer's often safe choice approach, resulting in fewer surprises in the game than expected. Insomniac plans to further update the game with New Game Plus and the option to replay missions at a later date.
