Rockstar Confirms: No New Version of Bully on GTA+

Aug 20, 2024 3:41 PM

Rockstar Games has announced the release of the original Bully through the GTA+ subscription service, clarifying that no new version or remaster is on the way. Subscribers on PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 4 will play the original PlayStation 2 version via emulator, while Xbox users can access Bully: Scholarship Edition, which includes additional content not found in the original. Despite speculation about possible remasters, Rockstar has confirmed that these versions are the only ones available at this time, disappointing some fans who hoped for an updated experience. With the highly anticipated Grand Theft Auto 6 set for a fall 2025 release, the focus remains on existing titles rather than new updates.

Will there be a remaster or sequel for Bully? nNo, Rockstar has confirmed there will not be a remaster or new version of Bully; they continue to offer the original PlayStation 2 game and the Scholarship Edition through their subscription service without any new updates.n

Bully, developed by Rockstar Vancouver and released in 2006, is recognized as a cult classic within the gaming community, offering a unique open-world experience centered around juvenile antics at a fictional boarding school. While a sequel was once in development, it was ultimately canceled, leaving fans hopeful yet frustrated. The game has influenced other titles, with elements reportedly making their way into projects like Red Dead Redemption 2. In addition to Bully, fans are eagerly awaiting the release of LA Noire later this year via GTA+, alongside the impending launch of the next major installment in the Grand Theft Auto series.
