Rock Claims Parties Asked Him to Run for President

Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson, known for his role in "Black Adam," has opened up in an interview on Trevor Noah's podcast "What Now?" about being approached by political parties inquiring if he would consider running for President of the United States. This comes after a 2021 poll suggested that 46% of people would support him if he campaigned for the White House. Johnson expressed his surprise by these approaches and reiterated that his goal has never been to enter politics. He emphasized his distaste for many aspects of the political sphere and his priority to remain present for his young daughters, Tiana and Jasmine, citing the past regrets of missing important moments in his eldest daughter Simone's life during his wrestling career.

Johnson also mentioned his ongoing projects, including a live-action remake of "Moana" where he'll reprise his role as Maui, and a Christmas action movie titled "Red One" with co-star Chris Evans.
