The popular game, Red Dead Redemption 2, has been spotted on the Brazilian government's official rating board listed for the Nintendo Switch. This discovery, made by a user named Necro Felipe, has led to speculations that the game might soon make its way to the Nintendo Switch platform.
This listing includes other platforms like PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC, but it is unclear when the Nintendo Switch was added since Rockstar hasn't made any official statement regarding this.
While it's hard to visualize a game like Red Dead Redemption 2, known for its demanding graphics, running on Switch, similar games such as The Witcher 3 are available on the platform. There might even be a possibility Rockstar could develop a cloud version of its game for the Switch.
Noteably, just last month Rockstar released a port of the original Red Redemption game for PS4 and Nintendo Switch, which runs at 30 frames per second and outputs at a 1080p resolution. On advanced devices like PS4 Pro or PlayStation 5, the game can run in 4K resolution.
Furthermore, the Red Dead Redemption 2 community was recently hit by another leak which revealed a next-gen update listed by a Microsoft executive. The game, launched in 2018 on PS4 and Xbox One and in 2019 on PC, is considered by many to be Rockstar's finest work despite criticisms around the lack of meaningful updates. Despite this, the game remains immensely popular and has sold over 55 million copies thus far.
