Princess Peach's Design Refreshed in Princess Peach Showtime Artwork

Princess Peach, a prominent Nintendo character, has undergone a design transformation in the upcoming game, Princess Peach Showtime. Fans suggest her new look is reminiscent of her depiction in The Super Mario Bros. Movie. Nintendo has not publicly explained the reason for this design shift.

In the game, Princess Peach and the Toads are transported to the Sparkle Theater to watch a show. However, their plans are disrupted by the appearance of Grape and her Sour Bunch. Peach is then tasked with the mission of saving the theater show.

Princess Peach Showtime adopts a stage set-like gameplay, enhanced by various powers attributed to Princess Peach through a special hair ribbon named Stella. She can also switch between different outfits each with its own abilities, such as the 'Swordfighter Peach' allowing for various sword moves, or the detective outfit which lets her investigate.

The game will launch on the Nintendo Switch on March 22, 2024.
