PC Requirements for Horizon Forbidden West Revealed

Mar 05, 2024 2:40 PM

The PC requirements for Horizon Forbidden West: Complete Edition have been revealed by developers Guerrilla Games and Nixxes. The game, which is set to release on Steam and the Epic Games Store on March 21, will require at least 150 GB of SSD space. Additionally, PC players will have the freedom to choose from a range of graphic presets that cater to various hardware capabilities, from portable setups to high-end PCs. The game includes adjustable settings for textures, shadows, water, terrain, and other details. In-game effects like lens flare, bloom, and vignette can also be toggled on or off. The Complete Edition for PS5 was released last October and includes the main game, the Burning Shores expansion, a digital artbook and soundtrack, the first volume of a digital comic, new poses and face paints for photo mode, and extra in-game items such as the Nora Thunder Elite outfit. Horizon Forbidden West received high praise for its improvements over its predecessor, Horizon Zero Dawn, and while its expansion, Burning Shores, was criticized for not offering enough new content, it sets the stage for Horizon 3.

What are the PC system requirements for Horizon Forbidden West?

The PC version of Horizon Forbidden West requires a minimum of 150GB of SSD space, and offers a range of settings to accommodate different hardware strengths, from portable devices to advanced gaming PCs. Specific detailed requirements can be checked on the PlayStation Blog.

Horizon Forbidden West, developed by Guerrilla Games, is the sequel to the critically acclaimed Horizon Zero Dawn and part of an action RPG series featuring a post-apocalyptic open world. The game stars Aloy, a hunter in a world overrun by robotic creatures, who sets out to uncover the mysteries of her land. The game's narrative, vast open-world exploration, and dynamic combat system have been praised by both players and critics, solidifying its place as one of the prominent franchises in the PlayStation ecosystem.
