A more advanced phase will only require internet access to upload player progression. Alongside addressing the matchmaking issues, the developers are also working on enhancing social and cooperative functions within the game. A more robust matchmaking system is expected to be rolled out sometime in 2024. Payday 3's moves towards an offline experience signal the studio's responsiveness to player feedback and dedication to improving the game post-launch.

Will Payday 3 be playable without an internet connection?

Yes, Payday 3 will be getting an offline mode that will be implemented in phases, ultimately allowing for gameplay without the need to be constantly connected to the internet.

Payday 3 is a cooperative first-person shooter game focused on pulling off heists. Drawing from the success of its predecessors, Payday: The Heist and Payday 2, the series is known for its intense, action-packed gameplay that encourages teamwork and strategic planning. With a history of substantial post-release support and community engagement, the Payday series has cultivated a dedicated fan base which eagerly anticipates the new features and updates the developers, Starbreeze Studios, regularly provide.
