Palworld teases Bellanoir's debut raid

Mar 15, 2024 2:53 PM

Pocketpair's highly popular game Palworld is set to receive its first raid update with the introduction of Bellanoir, an evil Pal laying siege to the Palpagos Islands. This raid marks the game's first major gameplay addition since its record-breaking launch with over 25 million players worldwide. The update promises not just the raid but also improvements to base management. Palworld, which is available on Steam and Xbox Game Pass, has been labeled by some as a ‘Pokémon with guns’ and has been mired in controversy with accusations of intellectual property infringement against Nintendo's Pokémon franchise. Despite the disputes, Palworld has enjoyed massive success, becoming the biggest third-party game launch on Xbox Game Pass.

What gameplay additions are coming to Palworld with the new update?

The latest Palworld update will introduce the first raid featuring Bellanoir, along with enhancements to base management for players.

Palworld, released by Pocketpair on January 19, 2024, has quickly become one of the gaming industry's monumental success stories. Despite comparisons to Pokémon, it shook the gaming world with its unique blend of survival, crafting, and creature collection. Its perhaps most talked-about feature is the inclusion of firearms in gameplay, which divides it from the more family-friendly Pokémon series and aligns it more with action-packed survival games. Weaving these mechanics into the familiar ‘capture and train creatures’ formula has clearly resonated with a massive player base, sparking widespread discussion and engagement within the gaming community.
