Ori Studio's No Rest for the Wicked Hits PC in April

Mar 03, 2024 11:30 AM

Ori developer Moon Studios is releasing their new game, No Rest for the Wicked, on PC via Steam Early Access on April 18. Offering a departure from the whimsical visuals of Ori, No Rest for the Wicked is an action RPG set in the year 841 featuring a darker, more realistic aesthetic. In a world where the king has died and his arrogant son Magnus rises to power amidst the return of a plague known as the Pestilence, players will control a Cerim—part of a group of holy warriors with special powers—to halt the spread of the devastation. The gameplay promises precise combat and an epic saga narrative, set within a handcrafted world designed to appear like a painting. The title, which has been in development for around six years, represents a passion project for the studio and is slated for eventual release on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S after the Early Access period.

What platforms will No Rest for the Wicked be available on?

No Rest for the Wicked will be available on PC via Steam Early Access starting April 18, with a full release planned for PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S at a later date.

Moon Studios is renowned for their highly praised Ori series which includes Ori and the Blind Forest and its sequel Ori and the Will of the Wisps. These platform-adventure Metroidvania video games are known for their beautiful hand-drawn art, emotional storytelling, and challenging gameplay. No Rest for the Wicked is Moon Studios' latest project and from the given details, it seems to continue the studio's tradition of creating visually stunning and detailed game worlds, while also branching out into the action RPG genre.
