Open Beta of Battlefield Creator's The Finals Starts Today

The open beta for the team-based multiplayershooter game The Finals, developed by Arc Studios, is reported to start on various platforms such as PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X and S. This announcement was revealed during the Xbox Partner Preview-livestream.

The beta, which is available for users on Steam, PS5, and Xbox Series, is slated to run until November 5, and introduces new features such as the Skyway Stadium map and Bank-It mode. Players can also benefit from a free BattlePass which promises sixteen exclusive rewards to keep.

The Finals, previously known as Project Discovery, is themed around a violent game show and includes dynamic arenas based on real locations. These arenas offer players an enhanced gaming experience, as their strategic destruction can be used to surprise opponents.

Arc Studios, led by ex-Battlefield co-worker Patrick Söderlund, also has another project, a cooperative, third-person shooter called Arc Raiders, which was postponed last year. The future release date remains unclear.
