Obsidian Suggests Exciting Pillars of Eternity Tactics Game

Although the idea has been discussed among team members, Sawyer acknowledges that developing a tactical game would come with challenges, particularly in gaining a dedicated audience similar to that of big-name franchises like Fire Emblem. There are many ideas and pitches within the studio for a tactics-based experience, but no concrete plans are in place. Meanwhile, Obsidian is focused on launching Avowed, its next RPG set in the Pillars universe, scheduled for release on February 18, 2025.
