Oblivion Remastered Rushes to Release Skyrim's Must-Have Patch

Apr 30, 2025 9:17 AM

The Unofficial Oblivion Remastered Patch (UORP) has been launched shortly after the release of Oblivion Remastered, aimed at fixing numerous bugs from the original game. Created by a dedicated team led by modder Arthmoor, this patch includes hundreds of fixes related to scripts, quests, NPCs, objects, and dialogue. Currently, UORP addresses bugs carried over from the original Oblivion; however, it has also resulted in new issues, including unexpected crashes and graphical glitches. An update is expected to mitigate some of these problems, including crashes in various locations and graphical errors affecting Argonian characters.

What are the main features of the Unofficial Oblivion Remastered Patch?

The UORP focuses on comprehensive bug fixes, aiming to resolve issues from both Oblivion Remastered and its DLCs that were overlooked by the developers. The patch has separate versions for the standard and deluxe editions and supports game versions of 0.411.140.0 or later.

Oblivion Remastered is a revitalized version of the classic RPG, The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion, which first launched in 2006. It has long held a notable place in gaming history, earning accolades for its expansive world and deep storytelling. The remaster aims to bring modern features and improved graphics, enticing a new generation of players and rekindling nostalgia among veteran fans. With fan-driven patches, the game's community continues to play a crucial role in enhancing the gaming experience.

Ah, the cycle continues—Bethesda releases a remaster, and modders immediately get to work polishing it up. Gotta respect the dedication, even if the first version of the patch has its own quirks to iron out. It’s wild how a game from 2006 still has bugs that follow it into a remaster, but hey, at least the community’s keeping the spirit of Oblivion alive (glitches and all).

Classic Bethesda—fans fixing the game is basically tradition at this point. Love to see the modding community stepping up yet again, even if it’s a bit rough around the edges for now. The fact that Argonians are still getting visually glitched in 2024 is low-key hilarious—some things never change, huh Can’t wait to see how this patch evolves with updates.
