Nov 13, 2024 6:40 PM

World of Warcraft is set to release its next major patch, titled "Undermine(d)," which will take players into the long-awaited goblin capital of Undermine. This underground city has been a topic of discussion within the Warcraft universe for years, but players will finally have the opportunity to explore it, aligning with one of the four major goblin cartels while navigating the city’s intricate politics. The patch introduces exciting new features, including a customizable ground mount, a new arena map, a new dungeon called Operation Floodgate, and an eight-boss raid, The Liberation of Undermine, where players will confront goblin faction leader Gallywix. The release is scheduled for early next year, following additional updates and expansions coming in summer.

What are the main features of World of Warcraft's upcoming patch "Undermine(d)"}?

The patch will introduce the goblin city of Undermine, a customizable mount, a new dungeon named Operation Floodgate, two new delves, story updates featuring Brann Bronzebeard, and a major raid against Gallywix, the goblin faction leader.

Undermine plays a significant role in the Warcraft lore, as it is the capital city built by goblins after evading the Zandalari trolls. Following a catastrophic eruption during the Cataclysm, the fate of Undermine was uncertain, but it remained a point of intrigue in the series. Players can now finally explore this long-hidden city and its vibrant goblin culture.
