The cinematic trailer didn't offer much detail about the new expansion but focused on Xal'atath, a void entity aiming to resurrect a new Black Empire and disrupt Azeroth's World Soul. The expansion kicks off in Khaz Algar and will involve significant changes to beloved in-game locations. Blizzard hinted at experimenting with a paid early access period, a move that has received mixed reactions from the community.
