New SpongeBob Clip Teases Hysterical History Episode

Nickelodeon is celebrating the 25th anniversary of "SpongeBob SquarePants" with various special episodes and events. An exclusive clip from the upcoming episode "Hysterical History" was shared, featuring SpongeBob, Patrick, and Sandy exploring Bikini Bottom's historical exhibit. The episode will premiere on Thursday, July 18, at 5:00 p.m. ET/PT. This is part of a series of new episodes that will roll out throughout the year, offering Easter eggs and nods to fan-favorite moments. Additionally, Nickelodeon will host a major tribute at San Diego Comic-Con, with a large booth recreating iconic locations from the show, including SpongeBob's pineapple home and The Krusty Krab, using 3D-animation and augmented reality. Fans can also look forward to more content such as behind-the-scenes audio from classic episodes and a Netflix movie centered around Plankton.
