Boss Team Games has announced two new games inspired by the Halloween franchise, including a pixel art platformer titled RetroRealms: Halloween. This game allows players to step into the shoes of Michael Myers, utilizing his iconic knife to slash through enemies. The second title, also developed in partnership with WayForward, features Ash Williams from Evil Dead, promising a nostalgic 16-bit gaming experience reminiscent of the '90s. Both games will be released on October 18 for PC, PS5, Xbox, and Switch, priced individually at $24.99 or $49.99 for a bundle. Pre-orders include bonus characters from both franchises, increasing their appeal to horror game fans.

nWhat gameplay features can we expect from the RetroRealms: Halloween game?

Players will experience fast-paced action involving slashing enemies and evading obstacles in classic platforming style, with retro graphics and gameplay reminiscent of 16-bit arcade games.

The Halloween franchise has had a significant impact on horror cinema since its inception in 1978, introducing the iconic character Michael Myers. Coupled with the Evil Dead series' popularity, these upcoming games aim to evoke a sense of nostalgia while delivering modern gameplay experiences. The collaboration between Boss Team Games and renowned developers like WayForward highlights both the games' commitment to quality and respect for the source material.
