New Game Pass lineup for May: Senua’s Saga: Hellblade 2, Immortals of Aveum, and Lords of the Fallen EA Sports NHL 24 also joins

May 14, 2024 7:02 PM

Microsoft's Game Pass is gearing up to offer a robust lineup of new titles for May, featuring a mix of highly anticipated games and beloved classics. Brothers: A Tale of Two Sons, a renowned title, is already available on the service for all platforms. The puzzling adventure Chants of Sennaar and a pair of EA Play entries, EA Sports NHL 24 and Immortals of Aveum, will follow shortly after. These EA Play titles require a Game Pass Ultimate subscription.

The eagerly awaited Senua’s Saga: Hellblade 2, which continues the dark and harrowing journey of Senua in Viking Iceland, is perhaps the highlight of the May offerings, launching day one on Game Pass. Galacticare and Hauntii, both day-one titles, debut on May 23 offering unique gameplay experiences, from managing an interstellar healthcare system to embarking on a ghostly puzzle-filled quest. Moving Out 2 and the action-puzzle Humanity will land on Game Pass later in the month. Lords of the Fallen and Firework are also coming to the platform, bringing thrilling gameplay options to subscribers.

However, a set of games is scheduled to leave Game Pass at the end of May, including Chicory: A Colorful Tale and JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure: All-Star Battle, among others. For those who enjoyed the departing titles, a 20% discount is available for purchasing these games to keep.

What games are leaving Game Pass at the end of May?

Chicory: A Colorful Tale, Farworld Pioneers, JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure: All-Star Battle, Little Witch in the Woods, Pac-man Museum Plus, and Railway Empire 2 are leaving Game Pass at the end of May.

In additional context, Senua’s Saga: Hellblade 2 is a sequel to the BAFTA-winning game Hellblade: Senua’s Sacrifice, developed by Ninja Theory. The franchise is known for its psychological storytelling, innovative audio design, and nuanced portrayal of mental illness through its protagonist, Senua, who is a Pict warrior dealing with psychosis. The first game received praise for its respectful and immersive approach to these themes, engaging combat, and stunning visuals, creating high expectations for its sequel.
