New Dungeons & Dragons Game in Development at Hasbro

Following the success of Baldur's Gate 3, Hasbro has confirmed the development of a new Dungeons & Dragons video game. CEO Chris Cocks revealed that this fifth title is in production, though specific details regarding the genre or the studio have yet to be disclosed. The popularity of Baldur's Gate 3, praised for its deep gameplay and story, has prompted enhanced initiatives from Hasbro and Wizards of the Coast, leading to multiple D&D projects underway. Among these are various games, including a triple-A title by Invoke Studios, a survival RPG by the Disney Dreamlight Valley team, and a VR game by Resolution Games. Baldur's Gate 3 has already generated significant returns, earning $90 million, solidifying its position as a benchmark for CRPGs.

In addition to the new title mentioned, several projects are in the works including a triple-A game from Invoke Studios, a survival RPG life simulator, a co-op game codenamed Project Baxter, and a virtual reality title set in the D&D universe, showcasing a broad expansion of the franchise across various gaming formats.
