new Civilization game revealed: coming 2025

The highly anticipated Civilization 7 was officially unveiled during the Summer Game Fest, marking the end of an eight-year wait since the release of Civilization 6. Developed by Firaxis Games and set for a 2025 release, this 4X strategy game will be available on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC, Mac, and Linux via Steam. A gameplay showcase is scheduled for August. The game will allow players to build and expand their civilizations, create architectural wonders, and interact with rival civilizations. This announcement follows a leak earlier in the day, which dispelled rumors of a new Mafia or Borderlands game being announced at the event.
