Multiversus Devs Reviving Fan-Favorite Features

Jun 03, 2024 10:33 AM

MultiVersus is bringing back several fan-favorite features missing from its final release, addressing player complaints. After a successful open beta, Player First Games has promised to reintroduce essential elements like team colors, end-of-game stats, and more. These features were omitted as the game transitioned to Unreal Engine 5, but are now in testing. Additionally, the game's monetization changes have frustrated players, highlighting issues with in-game currency and character costs.

What features are being reintroduced in MultiVersus?

MultiVersus is reintroducing team colors, end-of-game stats, swapping side and neutral attacks, and adjustable input buffer settings, among other features.

Originally released in July 2022 as an open beta, MultiVersus is a free-to-play brawler featuring characters like Gizmo from Gremlins, Rick and Morty, Batman, and Bugs Bunny. Despite its initial success, player numbers dwindled, prompting a revamp. The game faced criticism for its economy overhaul, which made character unlocks more expensive and in-game currency packs less value-friendly. The recent updates aim to restore players' confidence by reintroducing popular features and improving the overall player experience.
