The new Godzilla-based series, "Monarch: Legacy of Monsters," has unveiled an exciting trailer before its upcoming premiere on Apple TV+ in November. The big reveal took place at the New York Comic Con, giving fans a much-awaited glimpse into the plot's suspenseful twists and turns.
The series dives into the aftermath of the 2014 Godzilla movie, following two siblings on a thrilling journey to discover their family history. The newly released trailer introduces the secretive Monarch organization, hinting at its intriguing agenda loaded with monster-cryptic mysteries.
The narrative oscillates between two different timelines, one set in the 1950s and the other fifty years later, both filled with mind-boggling mysteries, ripe for discovering alongside the series' characters. It also teases the birth of baby Godzilla-like creatures and the appearance of other colossal beings, like a giant spider that bulldozes through a forest.
Besides the monstrous enthralling plot, the show has garnered attention for its unique casting decision. Notably, real-life father and son Wyatt and Kurt Russell will portray younger and older versions of Army officer Lee Shaw, adding an intriguing touch to the story.
"Monarch: Legacy of Monsters" was announced over a year ago and is the second TV series in the MonsterVerse following Netflix's "Kong: Skull Island." The first two episodes will launch on Apple TV+ on November 17, with new episodes dropping every Friday, leading up to the season finale on January 12.
A fresh new poster for the series has been shared by Apple TV+, further ramping up the excitement. Tailored specifically for a young audience, the new "Monarch: Legacy of Monsters" promises an adventure-rich, monster-filled thrill ride that won't disappoint.
