Microsoft workers keep free Xbox Game Pass Ultimate sub

Nov 05, 2023 12:11 PM

Microsoft employees will indeed keep their free Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscription, debunking earlier reports that it would be scrapped from January 2024. The announcement came from Microsoft executive Phil Spencer, who pledged to investigate the situation after the initial news broke. Now, The Verge reports, Spencer has reversed the decision and confirmed that current staff members will retain their Game Pass access. However, it is unclear if this benefit would extend to new hires. Meanwhile, the price for Xbox Game Pass Ultimate has risen from €13 to €15 per month, with a standard Xbox Game Pass now costing €11, up by €1. The price of the Xbox Series X has also increased this summer.
