Nov 05, 2024 10:33 AM

BioWare has confirmed that Mass Effect 5 is a priority but warned fans to manage their expectations for this year's N7 Day, as it will be a quieter celebration due to the recent launch of Dragon Age: The Veilguard. While fans may be hoping for exciting updates, the studio has stated that its focus remains on completing Veilguard, which recently became its biggest Steam release. However, they acknowledged that the game will receive a patch soon to fix bugs and improve balance. Overall, while fans are eager for Mass Effect news, BioWare is prioritizing their efforts on Dragon Age right now.

What can we expect from Mass Effect 5 update on N7 Day?

Fans can anticipate less news than usual this year due to BioWare's focus on Dragon Age: The Veilguard, but there may still be some fun reveals or updates leading into N7 Day.

Dragon Age: The Veilguard expands the beloved Dragon Age franchise with new characters, storylines, and gameplay mechanics. It has garnered significant attention and success, topping Steam charts upon its release, making it a key focus for BioWare. Meanwhile, the Mass Effect series has a devoted following driven by its engaging narrative and rich universe, showcasing an enduring interest in intergalactic exploration and character-driven storytelling. As BioWare ramps up development for the next installment, fans remain hopeful for compelling updates that honor the beloved legacy of the series.

It sounds like BioWare is taking a cautious approach with Mass Effect 5 updates this N7 Day, which is probably for the best after the mixed reception some of their recent titles got. Focusing on Dragon Age: The Veilguard makes sense given its success, but you can bet fans will still be eagerly waiting for any hint of what’s to come in the Mass Effect universe

It's bittersweet to hear that Mass Effect 5 is in the pipeline but overshadowed by Dragon Age: The Veilguard's launch. Given the talent at BioWare, it's clear they’re playing the long game, so here's hoping the next N7 Day brings at least a tantalizing glimpse of what's to come
