Feb 05, 2024 9:59 AM

The upcoming life-simulation game, "Life By You," which was previously touted to resemble The Sims, has faced another delay in its Early Access release, now scheduled for June 4th. The Early Access phase, initially set for March 5th following an earlier postponement, has been pushed back to grant Paradox Tectonic additional time to enhance gameplay, graphics, and to tackle various bugs. "Life By You" was announced early in 2023 and is being developed by Rod Humble, former head of The Sims franchise and CEO of Linden Labs, famous for Second Life. The first trailer showcased the ability for players to construct houses and manage the lives of virtual characters. The Early Access version of the game will be available on the Epic Games Store and Steam, priced at 39.99 euros.

Why has the Early Access release of "Life By You" been delayed?

The Early Access release of "Life By You" has been postponed to June 4th to allow the developer Paradox Tectonic more time to refine the gameplay, improve the graphics, and fix bugs that have been identified.

"Life By You" is under the creative leadership of Rod Humble, a name known for his significant role in the life-simulation genre due to his work on The Sims and Second Life. With this expertise, "Life By You" is expected to bring new depth and innovation to the genre. "Life By You" aims to give players unprecedented control over their virtual lives, fulfilling the desires of fans who love detailed simulation and customization in their gaming experiences.

Given Rod Humble's background with The Sims and Second Life, the delay seems aimed at delivering a truly immersive and refined life-simulation experience for players.
