In an effort to continuously improve the Baldur's Gate 3 gaming experience, Larian Studios has just released Hotfix 9. This follows closely after Hotfix 8, prompted by backlash from fans. The new Hotfix brings the Dungeons & Dragons-themed role-playing game to version 4.1.1.3767641, specifically targeting bugs, crashes, and several issues.

One of the key enhancements in Hotfix 9 is the option for players to alter the looks of their hired companions, known as hirelings, via the Magic Mirror feature. Larian aims to give players full creative control to customize their party with the same limitations as when editing your own character, Tav.

In addition to tweaking appearances, the Magic Mirror now also allows players to modify their character's name. Responding humorously, Larian hinted that they would be adding Cool in front of their characters' names but encouraged players to personalise it as they see fit.

The hotfix addresses numerous technical issues and bugs such as avoiding game crashes, resolving visual inconsistencies, and rectifying character enhancement issues. They also tweaked dialogue pricing, optimised visibility for entities without sight range, and fixed many user interface issues.
