Konami Unveils Eva's Voice in Metal Gear Solid 3 After 20 Years

Nov 06, 2024 5:55 PM

Konami has revealed that Jodi Benson, known for voicing Ariel in Disney's The Little Mermaid, is the true voice actress behind Eva in Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater, ending a 20-year mystery surrounding the character. The revelation came during part 3 of the Metal Gear Solid Legacy Series documentary, where series star David Hayter conversed with Benson. Fans had speculated for years about Eva's voice actor after the character was credited to a pseudonym, Suzetta Miñet. Benson shared that the secrecy was due to her typical involvement in family-oriented projects and that a name change was suggested by the director to protect her brand. She will reprise this role in the upcoming Metal Gear Solid Δ: Snake Eater, although it remains uncertain if she will be credited as herself or under the pseudonym. The remake is anticipated for release on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X and S, and PC, promising a beautiful nostalgia trip with a first-person perspective, though it is being described as more of a remaster than a complete remake.

Who is the voice actress behind Eva in Metal Gear Solid 3?

The voice actress is Jodi Benson, who is also renowned for voicing Ariel in Disney's The Little Mermaid.

Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater was originally released in 2004 and is a critically acclaimed installment in the Metal Gear series, known for its engaging story, stealth mechanics, and character development. The upcoming title, Metal Gear Solid Δ: Snake Eater, aims to bring this classic to a new generation with updated graphics and gameplay while preserving the original's essence.
