Konami Reveals Metal Gear Solid Delta Targets New Gamers

Konami has announced the upcoming remake of Metal Gear Solid 3, titled Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater, with the intention of introducing the series to a new generation of gamers. Series producer Noriaki Okamura highlighted that many younger players are unfamiliar with the iconic franchise, prompting the decision to create this remake 20 years after the original. The name change to "Delta" reflects a new beginning, as Snake Eater serves as the narrative prequel within the series timeline. Additionally, with no mainline entries since Metal Gear Solid 5 in 2015, Konami aims to rekindle interest among younger audiences. Although a release date is yet to be confirmed, the game is expected to launch in 2025 for PS5, Xbox Series X and S, and PC.
