John Rhys-Davies, the actor recognized for his role of Gimli in The Lord of the Rings films, will be lending his voice in the upcoming game The Lord of the Rings: Return to Moria, as revealed by the opening cinematic posted online.

Rhys-Davies expressed his satisfaction for reprising his role stating, "It's a character I care a lot about, and I'm grateful that I can portray him in a different context."

The game The Lord of the Rings: Return to Moria is set during the Fourth Age of Middle-Earth, following the stories of the books, films and the Amazon series. In this co-op game, players control a group of dwarves tasked with mining the lost treasures of Khazad-dûm, the dwarven kingdom. The game requires mining for improved materials and treasures while also confronting dangers lurking in the caves.

Scheduled for digital release on PC and PlayStation 5 on October 24, the physical PS5 version will follow on December 5 and an Xbox Series version is anticipated early next year.
