Video game publisher EA Sports has revealed the forthcoming update to their game FC 24. The patch, known as Title Update 4, features a number of gameplay modifications and addresses one significant issue, commonly dubbed as the 'Trickster Glitch' by players. This glitch allowed players using the Trickster+ PlayStyle to stick the ball to the dribbler's foot, enabling them to freely run into the goal for scoring, creating unfair advantage in competitive multiplayer games last week.

The update aims at resolving this bug among others, however there is no mention of the Trickster+ PlayStyle returning to the game. Few gameplay changes have been implemented with this patch, leaving the core community of FC 24 facing disappointment as they had hoped for a major overhaul of the '71 depth meta' issue. Noteworthy fixes in this update include reduction in the amount of curve that can occur on first time precision passes taken at extreme angles and preferential use of the foot closest to the touchline while crossing from a wing position.

EA Sports has also addressed some instances of controller settings resetting unintentionally. The company has stated that Title Update 4 will soon be accessible for all versions of FC 24. Since its launch last month, FC 24 has faced controversies regarding microtransactions and has seen a drop in its launch sales by 10% in Europe and 3.7% globally as compared to FIFA 23. Despite the controversies and name change from FIFA, the company has recently reported that FC 24 has over 11.3 million players worldwide.
