Helldivers 2 update spawns bug hordes on key objectives

May 31, 2024 10:25 AM

Helldivers 2 players are currently facing significant challenges in the Major Order mission on Meridia, where bug hordes are spawning directly on mission-critical objectives. Arrowhead Game Studios is reportedly aware of the issue and plans to address it soon. This issue has caused considerable frustration within the community, especially after previous contentious updates. The bugs are spawning too close to drills and creating overwhelming scenarios, particularly at higher difficulties where Bile Titans can spawn. Additionally, the final event in these missions sees a disproportionate number of Shriekers, making it nearly impossible for players to complete tasks without constant interruptions. Players have raised these concerns on the game's Discord, and a moderator has confirmed that the development team is looking into it. Some players hope any fix will include an extension of the current Major Order.

Why are players frustrated with the Major Order mission in Helldivers 2?

Players are frustrated because bugs are spawning directly on the drills required for the mission, especially on higher difficulties. This issue makes it difficult to succeed, as players are overwhelmed by both regular enemies and bosses spawning too close to their objectives, hindering their progress significantly.

Helldivers 2, developed by Arrowhead Game Studios, is a third-person shooter where players engage in cooperative gameplay to achieve various objectives. The game has garnered a loyal player base but has faced issues with certain updates and gameplay mechanics in the past. The current issue on Meridia reflects ongoing challenges with balancing and bug fixing that the developers need to address promptly to maintain player satisfaction and engagement.

Man, it's always a bummer when game-breaking bugs mess up critical missions. Arrowhead Game Studios really needs to squash these issues fast to keep the excitement and flow going for their players.
