Guilty Gear Strive Welcomes Back A.B.A., a Fan Favorite

Mar 21, 2024 2:00 AM

Guilty Gear Strive, the acclaimed fighting game developed by ARC System Works, expands its roster with the return of A.B.A., a character first introduced in Guilty Gear XX Accent Core R back in 2012. The fan-favorite will be reintroduced in a DLC for Season 3, slated for release on March 26, 2024. Accompanying A.B.A.'s comeback is a free update, which brings a new battle stage named 'Fallen Prayer, Engulfed Lives', includes balance adjustments, and introduces a new move for the character Millia Rage known as Artemis.

A.B.A. is available to players for $6.99 individually or through the Season Pass 3, which costs $24.99. This character is known for her unique Jealousy Rage state, which boosts her movement and alters most of her normal, special, and Overdrive moves once activated. A.B.A. also comes with her "reluctant husband" Paracelsus, a magical battle axe transitioning into a key, leading A.B.A. on a quest to find a human body for him and uncover the mystery behind his transformation.

The next character to be revealed for Season Pass 3 after A.B.A. will be the fourth and final addition, expected to enter the fray later in 2024. The new battle stage features appealing visuals including a clear blue sea and a coral reef that's become a tourist attraction. As for Millia Rage's new special move Artemis, it allows her to leap and attack, dodging low hits and switching to the opposite side of her opponent.

How much does the new Guilty Gear Strive DLC for Season 3 cost?

The new Guilty Gear Strive DLC with A.B.A. is priced at $6.99 for individual purchase or as part of the Season Pass 3 for a total of $24.99.

Guilty Gear Strive is part of the long-running Guilty Gear franchise, known for its detailed anime-style graphics, complex fighting mechanics, and a heavy metal-inspired soundtrack. Since its original release in 2021, the game has been praised for its visual style and deep combat system, securing its place in the competitive fighting game community, including tournaments like EVO. With regular updates and DLCs, such as the latest inclusion of A.B.A., Guilty Gear Strive continues to maintain its popularity and evolve its gameplay.
