THQ Nordic has announced a Collector's Edition for the upcoming Gothic Remake, a much-anticipated relaunch of the classic German role-playing game. This special edition includes various collectibles such as a Sleeper mask, a real leather notebook, and an armband, as well as the game's soundtrack and the physical game on DVD for PC or the standard retail version for consoles. Despite the lack of a release date and significant gameplay reveals, the Collector's Edition is a nod to the game's legacy and the excitement surrounding its modern remake.

When is the Gothic Remake releasing? The exact release date for the Gothic Remake has not been provided by THQ Nordic, although it is expected to come out within the current year.

Gothic, the original edition that Gothic Remake reimagines, is an iconic single-player role-playing game developed by the German company Piranha Bytes. Released in 2001, it is known for its open-world design where the player assumes the role of a nameless hero who arrives on the penal colony island of Khorinis. Gothic's success led to several sequels, establishing a dedicated fanbase and solidifying its position as a notable RPG of the early 2000s, particularly valued for its elaborate story, nuanced environment, and depth of character progression. The Gothic Remake aims to bring the core experiences of this cult classic to contemporary audiences with updated graphics and gameplay, while preserving its celebrated narrative and atmosphere.
