Nov 15, 2023 3:37 PM

Exciting news for Xbox enthusiasts as Microsoft reveals a slew of Xbox Black Friday deals set to begin this week, specifically November 17 through 27, matching the kickoff of PlayStation and Amazon sales. Gamers can look forward to hefty discounts on Xbox hardware and software, including $50 off on both Xbox Series X and Series S consoles, a $10 reduction on select Xbox Wireless Controllers, and up to 67% off on a wide range of Xbox and PC digital games.

As part of the Black Friday savings, starting November 17, there will be up to 50% discounts on digital titles, with even greater reductions on games from Xbox Game Studios and select PC digital games. Furthermore, November 18 will bring the Xbox Series S Starter Bundle down to just $249.99, a $50 saving which also incorporates 3 months of Xbox Game Pass Ultimate, essentially adding an extra $51 of value. Additionally, the Xbox Series X bundles featuring Diablo IV and Forza Horizon 5 will enjoy a $50 discount.

For those who primarily purchase digital, major deals will be available in the Xbox Store starting November 17, including markdowns on highly anticipated titles like Starfield, Diablo 4, Forza Motorsport, Assassin’s Creed Mirage, and others. An added bonus for Xbox fans is the offer of free engraving on the Xbox Elite Wireless Controller Series 2 through the Xbox Design Lab, beginning November 23.

PlayStation hasn't been left out of the fray, with early Black Friday offers already live, including reductions on the new PS5 slim bundles, discounted DualSense Controllers, and an upcoming 30% off on PS Plus subscriptions. While Microsoft hasn’t confirmed any promotions for Xbox Game Pass, the parallel sales imply that gamers will have a wealth of options to consider across both platforms for Black Friday shopping.

These sales provide perfect opportunities for gamers to upgrade their consoles, snag new controllers, or expand their game libraries. Xbox's proactive approach in competing with PlayStation for holiday shoppers highlights the intense rivalry and customer focus of both brands during the holiday season. With these upcoming deals, the gaming community is in for a treat, making it an ideal time to stock up on gaming gifts or treat oneself to the latest tech and titles.

Looks like Microsoft's really rolling out the red carpet for gamers this Black Friday, with serious discounts rivaling PlayStation's own deals. It's a prime time to nab new gear and games, and with Xbox throwing in extra perks like free engraving, the battle for our holiday spending is as fierce as a match in Halo.
