Gaia skin temporarily disabled in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3

Nov 21, 2023 9:24 AM

Exciting updates are on the horizon for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 players. The multiplayer aspect is undergoing some changes, especially related to the Gaia skin, which has sparked a fair amount of player frustration due to its partially transparent design, making it difficult to spot. Sledgehammer Games has announced in a Reddit AMA that they're temporarily disabling the problematic skin until it can be modified to be more visible, akin to its Modern Warfare 2 counterpart.

Beyond addressing the skin issue, Sledgehammer Games revealed potential multiplayer lobby changes that could allow players to remain in the same lobby for consecutive matches, a feature reminiscent of earlier Call of Duty titles. This update may pave the way for a more consistent and engaging community experience.

In addition to these game enhancements, there's a Double XP event happening soon. Starting from tomorrow evening until the end of the weekend, players can earn double XP for gameplay, weapons, and battle pass progression. The first season of Modern Warfare 3 is set to launch in December, with an array of new features including fresh maps.

Despite these upcoming improvements, it is notable that Modern Warfare 3 has not fared well in terms of reviews, with criticisms focusing on its underwhelming single-player mode and lack of innovation in multiplayer. However, the Zombies mode seems to be a standout, offering a different, expansive, and thrilling experience.

The Call of Duty franchise continues to engage fans with updates and events, and while Modern Warfare 3 may have room for improvement, fans can look forward to upcoming changes that aim to enhance their gaming experiences.

It's cool to see Sledgehammer Games addressing the Gaia skin visibility issue head-on in Modern Warfare 3; tweaking it for better balance really shows they're listening to community feedback. Plus, the potential re-introduction of consecutive match lobbies could be a nostalgic win, fostering that old-school CoD multiplayer vibe we've missed.

It's a smart move for Sledgehammer to listen to community feedback and adjust the Gaia skin for better visibility—it shows they're committed to fair play. Plus, the nostalgic tweak of keeping players in the same lobby post-match is a cozy throwback that might help foster a tighter multiplayer community.
