FROSTPUNK 2 BETA AVAILABLE NEXT WEEK

Apr 08, 2024 9:02 AM

Frostpunk 2, the highly anticipated strategy-survival game, has announced a closed beta version available next week for those who pre-order the Deluxe Edition. The beta will run from April 15th to April 22nd and will include the Utopia Builder Preview, a sandbox mode that offers players a challenge to survive and overcome human nature's quest for power. The full release of Frostpunk 2 is scheduled for July 25th on PC and will also be immediately playable through PC Game Pass. This sequel is set 30 years after the original Frostpunk game, challenging players to build a new society in a post-apocalyptic world. Frostpunk 2 promises to combine elements of simulation, strategy, and survival as players navigate a harsh, frozen landscape to ensure the survival of their society.

What is Frostpunk 2's Utopia Builder Preview in the beta version?

The Utopia Builder Preview is the sandbox mode included in the Frostpunk 2 beta. In this mode, players can experiment with building and managing their society without the full pressures of the game's survival aspects, focusing on strategic planning and society expansion.

Frostpunk 2 follows its predecessor's footsteps, set in a world where Earth has been frozen over, and survival is of the essence. The original Frostpunk, released by 11 bit studios, was lauded for its grim atmosphere, complex decision-making, and the moral dilemmas it presented to the player. The game blended city-building with survival mechanics, where every choice could lead to either the prosperity or downfall of your city and its citizens. The sequel aims to expand on this formula with a deeper narrative and enhanced gameplay mechanics, providing a fresh challenge for fans of the series and new players alike.
