Fortnite Hits 60FPS on Nintendo Switch 2 with Game Chat & Mouse

Jun 04, 2025 3:36 PM

Epic Games has announced that Fortnite will run at 60FPS with enhanced graphics on the new Nintendo Switch 2, set to launch on June 5, 2025. Players will enjoy higher resolution, improved view distances, and enhanced texture quality. Additional features include clothing physics, a replay system, and support for mouse controls. A special Wishing Star emote will be available for early adopters until March 31, 2026. However, the PvE mode 'Save The World' will not be accessible on Switch 2. Epic has ensured that existing account links will remain intact for users transitioning to the new console.

What improvements can players expect in Fortnite on Nintendo Switch 2?

Players can expect 60FPS, higher resolutions of 2176x1224 docked and 1600x900 undocked, improved view distances, and advanced graphical features such as higher-quality textures and shadows. Additionally, clothing physics and a replay system will be available, along with game chat and mouse controls starting June 7.

Fortnite, launched in 2017, has become a cultural phenomenon with its vibrant battle royale mode and versatile gameplay options. The game's continual updates and cross-platform capabilities have kept it at the forefront of gaming, making the transition to the next-generation console a highly anticipated event among fans. With the launch of the Nintendo Switch 2, players are eager to see how Epic Games implements these enhancements to elevate their gaming experience further.
