Blizzcon recently teased the upcoming expansion to Diablo 4, titled Vessel of Hatred, set to launch in late 2024. This expansion will introduce a new, previously unseen class to the Diablo series. The storyline will take place in a region named Nahantu and will involve the character Mephisto and his plans for Sanctuary.

While detailed information about the expansion was limited, data mining efforts suggest an alternative expansion called "Lord of Hatred" which would center around Mephisto. This data suggest the possibility of new questlines, gear and endgame activities, in addition to a new class called "Spiritborn" and a mercenary system for NPC allies on the battlefield.

However, since data mines can be inaccurate or outdated, these details might not be applicable when the actual Vessel of Hatred expansion comes around. Nonetheless, this information could be seen as a potential clue of what lies ahead in Diablo's story.

Diablo 4 recently enjoyed successful vampire-themed content season, the Season of Blood. The game has been acclaimed for its endgame and progression design, earning a 9/10 review score. With patch 1.2.1, respecs became much easier for players. In the meantime, players continue their efforts to unravel the secret Cow Level of the game.
